Legal Supervision

Do you understand Federal, State and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws?

This Course was developed to help supervisors, front line leaders, managers, HR professionals, and more understand the current laws and how they should be applied in the workplace. Attendees will learn about their obligations to identify and prevent discriminatory work practices. Discussion focuses on policies prohibiting discrimination against an associate because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disabling condition. Associates will also identify issues which may arise under the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Objectives:

  • Identify discriminatory employment practices
  • Correct and/or eliminate discriminatory employment practices
  • Identify harassment in the workplace
  • Understand their responsibility when an issue arises
  • Know what steps must be taken by management to rectify the situation
